The freshness of the evening still clung to the world as the sun slowly began to fall beyond the horizon into a slumber. The setting sun was still far too bright for the party goers to sneak out and past the coppers to go to the nightlife of the bars. Such closeted drinkers slipped inside for a drink by hiding in the shadows, in the darkness of the night. It was limbo for now, no business. That was Anya's favorite time to stop for a shot or two while making small talk.
Like always, she was packing heat, the weapon tucked away alongside her wand. Usually, the consumption of alcohol on her part was recreational, casual. However, the burn was something she needed on this occasion. The stress of the end of the week finally hit her, and hard. It was her own fault, of course, she gave herself the position, she was the one who bottled everything up.
In sitting in the bar stool, Anya rested her forearms and elbows on the freshly polished table. Her chin automatically fell onto the backs over her hands. A content sigh flee from her parted lips, the first feeling of relaxation today. "I could kill for a drink," Anya smirked to herself, then followed, internally, with but that would be a little extreme, yeah?

Fin washed the blood off his hands, and swore as he saw the red stain on the cuff of his shirt. Looking at the pathetic wretch laying in the dirty water of the alley, Fin leaned down and stuck his wrist in the mans face. "Ya got your blood, on my fuckin shirt. You come in here, harass my girls, try and intimidate my staff, then get your filthy blood on my shirt? Un-fucking-acceptable, lad." Fin straightened up, and lashed out with his foot, kicking the man hard in the face. Turning away, Fin walked back inside, picking at the now stained cuff of his shirt sleeve, muttering about it all the way. Stopping in the storeroom, he poured a cup of tea, and checked to make sure he had no blood on him before walking back to the bar.
When he strode through the door, and saw Anya, he smiled at her mumbled words, and poured a glass of whiskey for her. "Oi, that's my job. No sense in lEttinger you ruin your fancy clothes. Or whatever you girls worry about." He joked as he took a drink of his tea, and setting the cup down. "So, cousin, what brings you down to this den of debauchery, we O'Brien's so pride as our own?" Stepping away for a moment to handle another patron, Fin came back and smiled. "Anya, I completely forgot my manners." Walking around the bar, he hugged the girl, then stepped back.
"You look absolutely ravishing, and if any man touches you. I'll kill him" Fin smiled, but the words held a dead tone, and his eyes held a dangerous look. It was one thing for someone to harass a girl that worked for the family, but to harass a girl who was family, whether it his sister, or his cousin. Fin made no exceptions, if they said no, and you didn't take the hint, the last face you would see would be Finleys.

With her cousin making his presence visible, she flashed him a warm smile. Of course Anya rolled her eyes, cringing a bit at the comment. Everyone in the family knew how she felt about such stereotypes and how she revolted as much as she could from them. It didn’t upset her, when coming from Finley, simply because she knew it was nothing more than a harmless joke. “And my job is just to scare them,” she teased back, lifting her chin off of her hands. She waited for Fin to work his bar duties before ordering herself a drink. Anya postponed the drink longer when he embraced her. Such contact always surprised her, not because it was something she was neglected of, just because it was something she never thought of doing. She wasn’t one to express such emotions.
The hug was returned, a smile even slipped onto her face. “Oh,” she responded to the compliment, taking an even further step back to look at her attire. “Why, thank you.” Anya was smart enough to know Finley meant exactly what he had said, in this family, killing is like a second nature. She, herself, had yet to kill anyone, she came close a few times, but she knows better than to piss off her father while on the job. “I think I could take care of myself in the department,” Anya hummed, giving her cousin a wink.
“So,” Anya began, playfully punching Finley’s shoulder, “how about a shot of whiskey, big guy?”

If there was one thing in the family that made Fin laugh more than anything, it was messing with Anya, and Heath. Watching the way she looked herself over, Fin chucvkled and shook his head. "What? Getting a bit self-conscious, lass?" Fin knew Anya always had difficult when it came to affection, and the like, so he had no problem teasing her regularly, but always playfully
When Anya punched his arm, and called him big guy, Finley adopted a look of horror on his face, "Big guy? Have I really gotten that bad?" Looking down, he ran his hands over his chest and stomach. "I always felt I was doing enough to stay in shape... thanks for lettinf me know the truth." Looking up, he winked, and poured Anya a glass, and paused before he set it in front of her. "Technically you're not supposed to be drinking, if your dad catches me, he'll kill me. So you just like Maureen, get one glass." Fins tone booked no arguement and he waited until she agreed before he set the glass down.

“Oi!” Anya whined, staring Finley down, “watch yourself.” Jokingly, she shook her fist at him with one eye closed, making bobbing motion, “I’ll get ya right in the kisser.” Laughter escaped her petite form, her arms fell to her sides and swang due to lingering momentum.
She looked up at him, her neck nearly at a full stretch. She almost explained to him what she meant, but rolled her eyes, once again, in seeing his wink decided he knew it was only because he towered her a decent amount.
Her jaw dropped; only one damn drink?! Anya glared at him, looking at him mainly from the corner of her eyes to see if he was still joking. In seeing the seriousness in his eyes, a pout pulled onto her lips. “He won’t kill you,” Anya started to insist, practically throwing herself onto the chair. “He’ll just threaten you.” Anya could see that arguing with the messenger wasn’t going to fix anything, only postpone her alcohol intake. She looked up at Finley, her tongue now being bitten to keep from complaining. She gave him a nod, “fine, one drink.”

"Next party, you can do whatever you want Anya. However, you're in my bar, and you still have to get home. I'm not going to be responsible for something happening to you." Fin watched his cousin, and smirked at the glare she was giving him. If Anya could kill with a look, Fin was sure he'd be on the ground in that moment. StI'll it didn't matter to him what his cousin though, she was his little cousin, and he was watching out for her.
Looking back at Anya, Fin raised an eyebrow, "So, how is everything going for you, Anya? No one harassing you too much I hope."

Finley’s responsibility was superb. It always shocked Anya just how in control, how calm and collected, Fin actually was. That, of course, didn’t ease her anger. All she wanted to do was booze up after a long day of threatening to bust kneecaps or whack a few. Maybe, she attempted to consider, she making a big deal out of things.
A faint smile tugged on the corners of her lips and she rolled her eyes. “Only this one bartender, but he’s more or less just doin’ his job.” Her eyes shifted towards him, waiting for him to laugh or respond. She wet her lips and, after resting her forearms on the tabletop, shook her head, “no. I usually do the harassing.”

"Ha, he sounds like a real prick, I'll have to have words with him." Fin laughed, and shook his head at his cousin. She could say whatever she wanted about him, or to him The fact was he would not budge onm the subject, no matter how much she wanted him to. Fin had a responsibilty, to her, to the family,. and to himself. He would not let anything happen his family uder his watch, even if it was just them wanting to get drunk. Turning back around he faced Anya, and folded his arms across his chest, as he leaned back against the counter behind the bar. "Now why exactly are you so eager to lose your sensibilities tonight, Anya?"

“Better bust some skulls,” Anya snickered, correcting her posture. She tapped her fingers on the bar, her fingernails clicking against the platform. Finally, Anya no longer was too cranky about the alcohol situation. She couldn’t help that she was stubborn, much like her father, but she was able to release it.
In raising an eyebrow, she crossed her arms in front of her chest. Anya’s eyes read you should already know. Everyone in the family knew how she in her father were always butting heads. It wasn’t one or the other’s fault, exactly, although they both were the source of their disagreements. Anya shrugged, “Grudges formed because of underappreciative men.”
“So, where’s my deoch?” Her accent was heavy on the word drink, which she had forgotten to translate in speech.
