"Get the fuck back here, you piece of shit!" Fins voice boomed through the alley, as he chased the man down. The bastard had beaten one of the girls that worked at The Underground, then had the audacity to order a drink from Fin himself afterwards. When Finley saw the girl walk out of the dressing room, her face red, and lip and nose bloody, Fin had smashed the beer mug over his head. However the man had managed to escape, with a cheap shot to Fins 'pride.' So Fin gave chase, and had almost caught the guy when they hit the market. That hit a hitch however when Fin ran around a corner and ran headlong into some one.
Both fin and the stranger went down in a heap, Fin only being able to twist awkwardly so he ended up on his back in the filthy street. "God, fucking damnit, get off..." Fin smiled as he saw Teagan O'Malley looking at him with more than a little irritation. "Morning Teag... uhh... one second..." Without getting up, Fin reach into his coat and drew out the pistol that was always at his side. Laying on his back, with the redhead on top of him, Fin rested the gun on the ground, and squeezed the trigger. A dark smile went across his face as he fired, and the man crumpled, clutching his thigh. Looking back at Teagan, Fin cock ed an eyebrow, and looked around, "So.mm what bring you out this way?"

The market was conveniently located right next to the shops of the town, all aligned neatly over the course of several blocks in the downtown area. Teagan needed to grocery shop for her and her sister, but she was also in "desperate" need of new clothes. It had been nearly a week since she had purchased any new articles of clothing, and that was just an unacceptably long period of time in her mind. Perhaps she would be nice enough to pick up a few things for Fianna while she was there as well - seeing as it had been even longer since her sibling had been out shopping - but that would just depend on who the clothes would look better on.
She was nearing the market when some man came bolting around the corner and just barely managed to miss her, to which she scowled. "Watch where you're going, you idiot," she called out to him. The more she thought about it, though, what was he running from? Was he being chased by someone? And if so, was that someone about to round the corner as well?
That question was quickly answered as she turned her head back in the direction she was walking just in time to see a brief flash of a person's outline before she toppled over. After a moment or two of spinning and being unsure of which direction was up and down, she realized there was someone underneath her and that they were both on the ground. "What the.." Her eyebrows furrowed in irritation from the little entanglement, but once she took in just who had run into her, she sighed and shook her head. "Fin, seriously? What are you even doing?" But he answered that question when he promptly fetched his pistol and fired at the man who had just blown past her, taking him down with a shot to the leg.
She couldn't help but to roll her eyes a bit. "Do you have to be so brash all the time?" Her composure was always held, so when those around her acted foolishly without thinking things through, she couldn't help but to become a little bit irritated. "And, unlike you, I'm here shopping. You know, like a normal person," she sighed, pressing her hands against the concrete on either side of his head so that she could push herself back to her feet.

Fin grinned up at Teagan like an idiot, as she lectured him on what normal people did. Hey, whoever said Fin of all people was normal, certainly no one in the O'Brien family. As she went to stand, and placed her hands on either side of his head, Fin pouted, and winked. "Come on Teagan, I've seen how you look at me. I know you always wanted to get me on my back." With thay, Fin grabbed her waist, and helped her stand as he got up as well.
"I am sorry about that, Miss O'Malley." Fin stated as he brushed dirt and mud off of his suit. "You didn't get hurt did you?" His question was genuine as he looked her over, carefully reaching out and brushing some dirt off her dress. "As for what I'm doing..." his voice trailed off as the man on the ground started swearing at him. With a sigh he walked over and stepped on the man's legs, the sound of bones grinding together filled the air just before the screaming. Rolling his eyes, Fin stepped back, and lashed out with his foot, kicking the man hard in the side of his head, and kicking him out. "Fucking bastard..."
Fin walked back towards Teagan and shrugged, "The bastard decided it was okay to beat one of the dancers at the club. I went to have words with him, and he hit me in the southlands... so it ended up personal, real fast." Running a hand through his disheveled hair, Fin slipped the pistol back into his coat. "So... need any help carrying anything?"

It was shocking to hear Finley speak in a way so ungentlemanly, but Teagan was thoroughly amused by his words and even allowed her smirk to continue to hold its place on her lips. His hands were on her waist for a moment, and she nodded a thank you to him for helping to steady her. "Oh, Fin, you're too gentlemanly for me. You know that," she said with a wink. "Unless you're secretly dirty in the bedroom, in which case I might be interested." She was teasing mostly, but she waved her hand dismissively as he began to swat some dirt from her dress.
"I'm not hurt," she assured him before dusting a bit of debris from his shoulder in return. Surprisingly, she didn't have a single scratch on her body, though she figured that was probably due to his being so much larger than her as to keep her from hitting the ground earlier. "Thank you for breaking my-" Before she could properly thank him for catching her, he walked off and over towards the other man to step on his legs and shatter the bones. She sighed, shaking her head as he kicked the fellow in the temple to knock him out. "Fin, really?" Her question was rhetorical of course, but she understood why he was so irked with the man once he explained.
"Finley, you do realize that's the kind of job those dancers sign up for, right? They're perfectly aware of what they're getting themselves into," she told him bluntly. "I know it's not in your nature, but you should look out for yourself more, you know." He asked if she needed help carrying anything, and she laughed lightly. "You're a hopeless cause, you know. Come on, though. We'll grab some coffee. My shopping trips take hours."

Fin smiled, and shrugged at Teagan's comment about being secretly dirty, with a wink he picked up his cap. "Well, Miss O'Malley. I am a gentleman, and you know I don't kiss and tell." When she brushed the debris from his shoulder, looking down, he smiled, and shook his head. Picking dirt from her dress, Finley paused just long enough to deal with the asshole he had been chasing.
When he returned, Finley looked at the ground and shrugged. Teagan was right, but that didn’t change the fact he wouldn’t stand for the abuse of his employees. It was a fault, just like Teagan had stated, Fin was a gentleman, in a town full of bastards. There was a reason for it though, there was a nightmare that lurked in the shadows of his mind. An essence of evil that if allowed out into the light would consume him, and drag him back to the way he was in France, before Maureen's letters came. Fin refused to ever let himself return to those days of darkness. “It doesn’t matter… the girls that work for my family deserve to feel safe… All of them…” Fin made a point to meet her eyes then, and hold the contact, before a smile tweaked the corner of his mouth and he began walking with her.
“I’m not much of a coffee person myself, but I’ll have a cup of tea with ya, lass.” He stated, then looked at her sideways, and cocked an eyebrow. “Wait… what did I just get myself into…” He teased, as the walked, and he offered his arm out to here.
Yes, he was a gentleman, and he would never let that change.

"Don't kiss and tell, huh? Well, where is the fun in that, Mister O'Brien?" She asked with a playful wink. When she was certain there was no more dirt on his person, she looked down at her own attire to inspect it. Everything was in place, and she looked back up to him with a small smile. "Thank you," she said with a curtsy.
Teagan realized that she needed to accept Finley for the way that he was, and truthfully, it wasn't because she was trying to change him. It simply went without saying that "nice guys finish last," and in a town like this, that saying proved truer and truer each and every day. As much as she was a selfish bitch, there was some unknown soft spot she had for the man in front of her, and the idea of him being hurt just made her stomach churn in a rather unpleasant and obnoxious way. He had to toughen up some, learn that some things are out of his control. "You're a sweet man, Finley O'Brien," she told him with a nod, meeting his eyes as he told her that all of the women working for his family should feel safe. "But don't you dare ever stick your neck out for me, got it?"
They began their walk down the street, and as he offered up his arm to her, she took it. After all, she couldn't be too careful. She was powerful with her magic, but if someone got the jump on her, she would be screwed. And while she would refuse to let Finley fight her battles for her, his presence on her arm would surely deter other people from messing with her. "No coffee, hmm? Well, I hope you're ready for a long day without it," she teased, smirking to him from the side. "You got yourself into this mess. Just remember that."

"The fun? The fun is you not knowing just what kind of person I am behind closed doors, darling." Fin teased with a wink, before she took his arm. Walking along next to Teagan, Fin lit a cigarette, and smirked at her words. "Some times it's the sweet ones you have to be careful of Miss O'Malley... We have a way of getting under peoples skin..." His voice was quiet and serious, until he looked down at Teagan and smiled. "Of course, then again, we might just be genuinely sweet guys..." Holding out the cigarette to her, he smiles, "Smoke?" When she took it, he produced another, and lit it with a few mumbled words. While they walked, her arm through his, Finley quickly forgot about the man he had left in the street, and concentrated on the woman at his side.
It was quite pleasant, getting out of the club, and just going for a walk with someone, particularly someone as enticing as Teagan. Any man who tried to say she was not an absolute picture of perfection, would have had to be some sort of nancy. Of course Fin would never allow himself to admit out loud. When she told him to never stick his neck out for her, Fin merely smiled and chuckled, pulling the cigarette from his lips, he opened his mouth, then shut it. Shaking his head, he only chuckled, and kept walking. If Teagan thought that such a warning like that would be enough to deter him, she was sorely mistaken.
Her words about him getting into this mess, and having to deal with it, made him smile. "I have been in far worse messes than this," smiling, he winked at her, "And with far less attractive company. I think I can handle a shopping trip with you, my dear." He countered, and looked around. "Where to first?"

"Oh? And why would you want to keep that a secret from little ole me, hmm? I promise, I wouldn't let anyone in on it," she told him with a playful smirk. "Besides, I think we both know it's only a matter of time before I end up getting you alone somewhere private." As much as that idea would excite her with just about any of the O'Brien men, there was something about getting Finley to loosen up his tie and push those manners of his to the side that excited her above the rest. Still, he was good to her, and she had to be careful about potentially ruining that relationship with him. She supposed it would just have to come down to a coin toss in the very end.
The way he mentioned getting underneath people's skin caused her brow to raise momentarily, but she forced it back down before he had the chance to look back at her. A lit cigarette was extended to her, and she accepted it with a nod of thanks before bringing it up to her lips for a long drag. "Thanks, love. I could definitely use one of these after, you know, being knocked down by a crazy man running through the streets," she said with a smirk, winking up at him.
It didn't surprise her that a bit of a shopping spree wasn't the worst thing he had ever experienced. They lived a crazy lifestyle, and mafia members were almost always in danger of something. He mentioned her attractiveness, and she laughed lightly, looking over at him with a raised brow. "Are you hitting on me, Mister O'Brien?" She asked curiously before nodding her head in the direction of the coffee shop. "Coffee and tea first. Shopping after."

Teagan's confidence, and demeanor was actually quite refreshing to Fin. Whereas most women were kind to him, and he to them, he could see the looks their eyes held. To most, Fin was a time-bomb waiting to be set off, he could see it in their eyes, the way they seemed to strain when greeting him, and saying hello. It was because of his time in France, what he had gone through. Whizzbangs, they called them, men who would break, and see themselves back over there in France. Fin wasn't one of them, but he was still viewed of someone who would snap. Teagan however actually looked at him like he was still human, and he was a normal man.
"Well, you know, someone should really deal with the insane people... So many of them running around, shooting people." Fin shook his head, "Town has gone to hell since I was a kid.... Might have top do something with the fact I grew up, and came back." He joked, and walked into the shop with Teagan, holding the door open as she entered. Watching her hips sway, he smirked, and followed her in, "One coffee, and one tea." He stated to the man who came to get their order. Fin led Teagan to a corner, and sat with his back to the wall, watching the door, an old habit that refused to die.

His sense of humor was sarcastic and playful, and Teagan enjoyed the company of the man currently attached to her arm. They entered the coffee shop, and she thanked him graciously for holding the door as she slipped inside. They were greeted by a waiter who took their order from Finley before he swept her away to a table at the back of the establishment. She slipped into her side of the table and looked over at him with a light laugh. "Well, if you need someone to stop someone from running wild through the streets shooting people, I think I'm a pretty good doorstop," she smirked, shaking her head lightly.
A moment later, the waiter returned with their beverages, and she thanked the man before adding a bit of cream and sugar to her coffee. After all, she might be kind of bitter, but that didn't mean she didn't like to give off the impression that she was sweet. It was the sweetness that drew the men to her initially, allowing her to get her hands on whatever her little heart desired. And then, she could go in for the kill - showing her true form and leaving the men behind with shattered hearts.
They called her the 'Maneater' back home.
That wasn't the way she felt about Finley, though, for some strange reason. This didn't go to say that she wouldn't sleep with him and then leave right after, but she wouldn't feel good about hurting him. Truthfully, she didn't know if she would ever be able to change her ways, but she was pretty okay with that. They would still be friends, right?
"So," she began, blowing lightly on the hot beverage before taking a small sip, "Let's get down to business. Did you offer to help me carry bags because you're legitimately interested in my shopping habits, or is there simply hope that you might be invited inside my home once this is over?" She asked with a quirked brow, and while her tone was playful, her eyes showed that she was quite serious with her question. A girl couldn't help but to be curious.

Fin smiled at Teagan and shook his head, "I am sure you have more than enough men tripping over themselves cause of you."He replied, as they sat down at the booth. When the drinks finally came Fin watched as Teagan added cream and sugar to the drink. Fin gave a shudder, and shook his head, "I may not like coffee, but there is still no reason to ruin it in such a way." He joked, leaning back and taking a drink of his tea. There was something about Teagan, something, off? No not off, what was it? Staring at her a moment longer, Fin shook his head, unable to place his finger on it. She certainly was a different sorts than the other women Finley had talked to. Ana was sweet, and kind, and being around her, and talking to her eased and soothed his troubled mind and soul. Nixie was good for a laugh, and to talk to about things he would never bring to Ana.
Teagan however had an appeal that Fin did not feel towards the other two, maybe slightly for Ana, but he would never risk that. Teagan was sultry, and had a look in her eyes, that brought fin back to when he was a trouble making boy, and spent his time chasing girls around the academy. Fin watched Teagan drink her coffee, and then looked back to his own cup as she looked up. Her question made him laugh, however and look back at her.
"Teagan, like I said before... I am the type of man who does not kiss ad tell." He stated quietly, though there was a look in his eyes that did not deny her assumption.
