His words were just as soothing as ever, even more so in the language of their shared heritage. He wanted her to stop crying, and while she would be a horrid liar if she said she didn't want the same thing, there was no ending to her tears at the moment. "I'm so sorry, my love. I don't know what I was thinking... I was just so afraid," she sobbed. "I know that you would never hurt me - you are my Pietro, after all. And I.. I can't change the way I feel about you no matter what business your family in involved in." Her words were honest, and while she expressed her distaste for his actions, she knew now that she couldn't leave him... Not ever.
Slowly, she pulled back and leaned up on her toes, cupping his face and pressing her lips passionately and lovingly to his lips. She held that kiss for a long while before pulling away to press several smaller, quick kisses to his lips. "I love you," she said between kisses before continuing them.
Serafina had temporarily disregarded the fact that not only was she kissing Pietro out in the open of his classroom but that the door had also been wide open throughout the duration of their actions. Once she caught sight of it out of the corner of her eye, she removed her hands from him and took a couple steps back from him, clearing her throat. "I'm sorry," she whispered to him. "I shouldn't have done that in your classroom. I... Might I see you tonight? If you aren't too terribly busy?"

"No, no," he crooned against her hair, "do not apologize. There are many things to fear, but never me. I keep my promises. I will not hurt you. You are precious to me. Shhh." He held her close, rubbing soft circles into her back as she cried into his chest. Yes, this was the role he wanted to fulfill for her: to be a safe place, to be her love. The parts of him that had been torn apart by her fear began, slowly, to mend themselves. He gladly received her kisses, returning them with a full heart that had bled throughout the day - good God, only a day? - of their separation.
"And I love you," he replied.
It was disappointing when she pulled away, but he quickly remembered himself and where they were. Straightening his tie and clearing his throat, Pietro offered a sincere smile. "I am never too busy for you. Would you come to my quarters? I can prepare dinner for us, if you would like."
A date night, with wine and food and his beautiful Serafina. It sounded perfect.

His promise to not hurt her inflated her heart, and she knew right then and there that this man would protect her from anything. She was an idiot to fear him for he would never lay a finger on her in any way that she did not want, and she found herself smiling as she put a forceful stop to her tears. She began to wipe them away frantically, trying to get the redness out of them as well as from the tip of her nose. "I know you won't hurt me, and I'm sorry I ever doubted that," she told him as she leaned up to press on final, soft kiss to his cheek.
He offered dinner in his room, and there was nothing better that she could think of. "That sounds splendid," she told him with a smile before bending down shamefully to pick up her Potions book. How out of line she had been only moments before - her emotions having gotten the better of her in the worst way - and she hung her head in shame for a moment as she stepped back around to the other side of the desk to grab the remainder of her books.
"I will see you at six o'clock," she told him with a smile as she headed towards the door, pausing just before she exited. She looked to him over her shoulder with a small smirk. "And, Professor Holland, I expect my schedule to be fixed by tomorrow," she teased, offering him a playful wink before bidding him farewell.
