When his class entered the room, they were quiet as expected, of course River demanded quietness in class all the time, and especially now since they were going to his brother's class. Of course it wasn't hard to be quiet after seven years of enduring class with him. River looked around and settled his class to the open seats and the newly placed seats in the back and the front. Expanding the room wasn't too hard, it was quite comfy, actually.
River left his coat in the classroom, leaving him only his black shirt, white tie, and matching vest and pants. Of course during this time, it was a fashion faux pas to have a shirt exposed between the pants and vest, but that didn't make an excuse for him to wear those awful-looking suspenders. So he was one of those rare people who instead wore leather belts. It looked better for him anyways. His hair was slightly a mess, but it usually was anyways, it made him look younger and the ladies definitely were attracted to it.
He went over to his brother's desk to discuss a bit about the lesson, "Do you want to start first or no? I think the kids would appreciate it more if you do the introduction," he said, smirking slightly.

Why did he agree to this? Really why? Gawain had never really gotten along with these two men he was currently sharing a classroom with. River Hollen mostly. He didn't agree with how bloody hard he was on the students. Sure he was strict, it was one thing to be strict and it was another to be down right curl to the point where most of them fear you and he was afraid it was the latter for River. So why did he say he would do this joint class with them? He could have stayed in his classroom far away from him.... Then again, this was for the students. It would be good for them and hey if shit went down then next week he could say no.
So he picked up some book and headed down to River's classroom as he open the door. "Hello Professor, thanks for inviting me." He said with a smile, trying not to let the full weight of his accent slip though. There was something about him being Irish that he knew didn't sit right with the other two men he would be working with today.
Students were already in their seats, quiet as can be and he sighed know that River must be the one demanding the uncomfortable silence from him. He set his books down and fixed his glasses. Well this will be fun.

Pietro's classroom had never before been full of so many students. It had also never been so quiet. What on earth was his brother saying to these children to make them so unnaturally silent? It was, frankly, unnerving. He did not like the way it felt, the way they were all waiting motionlessly for his brother's commands. Well, River would be getting a lesson of his own today, wouldn't he? Perhaps, after this, he would be able to behave more like a human in his own classroom setting.
"I will begin, yes. They need to understand that they are being taught, not punished." With that, Pietro turned away from his brother and extended a hand to shake Gawain's. He had his suspicions about the other man, of course, but he also respected him as a professor. Here in the school, Pietro could be civil. Of course, that didn't mean that he would be merciful if things got ugly outside of school.
"Professor Reid. Thank you for your presence here. I believe this joint course will be both instructive and fascinating for the students. Well, then ... let us begin!" Turning to face the students, Pietro's eyes were drawn inexorably to the lovely Serafina sitting in the front row. He couldn't help it; looking at her made him smile. He covered it by lifting his eyes and broadening the smile to include the entire class in his greeting.
Switching over to his booming professor-voice, he began, "welcome, students. We all know each other here, so introductions are unnecessary. I think we would all prefer to dive right into the reason we're here: the fascinating things that can happen when we combine knowledge from various classes to create even more powerful magic. The three subject areas that we represent can be brought together to strengthen one another. For example, I once knew a professor who possessed a seemingly endless supply of what he called 'Turtle-Bombs.' I know, it is a silly name, but he invented them and they are incredibly powerful defensive weapons.
"The basic make-up of a Turtle-Bomb," Pietro continued, picking up a piece of chalk to draw a rough diagram of what he was describing, "is a set of three chambers enclosed within a glass sphere. Each chamber contains a different potion, and each potion has been imbued with a transfigurative spell. The shaft in the center of the sphere - here, you see? - is enchanted with the wizard's Patronus. Hurl one of these bombs at the feet of your enemies, and they are instantly transformed into - what else? - turtles. Tiny baby turtles that could not possibly harm you. The Patronus is also released so that the Turtle-Bomb works against Dementors.
"Now, how does such a thing come into existence? Through experimentation, creativity, and the willingness to look at all sorts of different spells with an eye to bringing them together. Now, I would like you to try this: we will have five minutes for discussion. You will turn to the person seated nearest you and discuss ideas. See what occurs to you. What spells do you know of that seem as though they could be compatible? I will, of course, be listening in on your conversations, as I always do. At the end of five minutes we will share out our ideas, which will provide an excellent starting point for our discussions of finer theoretical considerations. Our time begins now. Talk, create, invent."
With that, Pietro closed his mouth and began circulating throughout the classroom, listening in on the conversations the students were having, noting which students were coming up with ideas that would be foundational for basic theory and, of course, noting which students quickly switched from other conversational topics when they saw him approaching.

It might have been silent in the class, but there was no doubt a guaranteed excitement around. Three hot teachers? No fucking way. Well the downside was that one of them was very strict. He turned to the professor that just came in, nodding, "You're welcome, Professor Reid." Unlike the man who didn't like him, River felt indifferent about Gawain... Well, personality-wise. But something about him irked the Antonucchi. He couldn't pinpoint what it exactly is.
For seven years, many have learned to just stay quiet when you're in a class with the Hollands. It just was like that— well maybe one of the reasons is that you wouldn't want to be glared down by River. He had learned to quiet down a class with his presence using fear. Of course he didn't feel proud of it, but whatever shuts the class up is good enough for the professor.
He backed up from Pietro's desk and went to lean in on one of the walls, brooding on slightly and watching the class start. He inwardly sighed, for a strict teacher, he did know how to keep the class intrigued and a bit exciting, he also got his point across too, quite clearly. And a lot learned from his course. It was just that he was so strict that it kept the students off guard and stressed, though he expects them to be able to deal through that. After all, they're preparing them for the real world.
River listened to his brother talk, looking down at his shoes, not seeing him making loving eyes at one of the students. When his brother was letting the students talk, he nodded at Gawain and walked around to check on the students. He walked mostly in the back section, because he knew what kind tomfoolery that happens. He neared one of the tables that we're getting way off topic, simply tapping a finger on one of their desks and they stiffened, looking up at River who simply glanced at them. They started talking about the lesson in hand. He walked around in front, hand in his pockets, itching to reach further down to snatch a cigarette.
When one of the groups asked him about one of the theories of Transfiguration on simple objects, he explained to them what it was, and gave good examples, in which he had turned a book to a simple goblet and it turned to a short discussion about other theories. Once he was done with their questions, he moved around for groups that needed his help with some complex transfiguration theories that they come up with. He approached Pietro, looking a bit like he needed a drink, a cigarette, or just a little shag. It wasn't even a month yet, but he was already looking so deprived.

Tap, tap, tap...
He couldn't be bother to focus on any of the words any of the professor said. He didn't even know why he was in this stupid joint class. Not like he needed it for anything. Really the only reason he was continuing on with his education was because his parents were making him. Really he had everything he needed, learned everything he needed and was ready to get back out there but no. He was stuck in this place for one more year just because his father still didn't think he was ready, but soon... he will be soon...
And now they expected him to work with other in this class to make a fucking turtle bomb? What the hell Pierto? But it wasn't like he could say anything about it, in this moment he was the teacher and he was just some random student. He had no power yet so he had to wait and do was he was told as much as he didn't want to.
So five minutes of a discussion with the person sitting next to him. Great just what he wanted to do, he looked around and sighed some, not really in the mood to talk to anyone or do much of anything. Maybe if he just kept his nose in his book and didn't say he could get though his class without speaking to anyone. Because while there was some people he liked in this class like Serafina, she was a great girl with her roots set in good old italian values. But there was also Theo in this class who was a whiny brat who needed to grow some goddamn balls and and Samuel, fucking prick.
Can he smoke in class is that a thing he could do? Because it would make this alot easier...

Well, it was the day after the very... Weird yet amazingly wonderful night in The Red Velvet Room, and there was some sort of strange combined class taking place between DADA, Potions, and Transfiguration. Why were they doing a class together? Sure, it was a pretty interesting concept, but... Well, she couldn't deny that she would much rather had just spent that class time with a certain professor, but she supposed she could deal with it for the time being. After all, in this moment she was part of the other Professor Holland's class. She was under his reign, and if there was one teacher she couldn't afford to screw up in front of, it was definitely him.
She took her seat in the front row and was attentive as always, and she found herself wearing a light smile/smirk as she stared back at Pietro. He caught her gaze and started smiling brightly, and even as he moved to play it off, she was confident that he was directing it mostly at her. It was strange, but the butterflies in her stomach absolutely refused to die off. But after receiving instruction on what to do, she realized she had to get her head in the game.
Looking to her right was an empty seat - quite a few people found her intimidating - so she looked to her left and smirked at the sight of none other than James Novak. Italian for certain, just like her, and cocky and arrogant too. Still, he hadn't ever been anything other than pleasant towards her, so she greeted her housemate with a nod. "Good seeing you, Mister Novak," she said as she got more comfortable in her seat. "You wouldn't happen to have any brilliant ideas on inventions, would you?"

Daveny scribbled notes in her notebook as fast as the professors spoke. Could this help with her own experiment with her firecrackers? She didn't know, but couldn't wait to find out. She chewed her lip and tried very hard not to stare with glassy, doe eyes at her professors, all of whom were very attractive. Also, she thought idly, out of bounds. She may have been boy crazy, but.... She snuck a quick glance. Mmm. Talk about eye candy.
She shook her head. Okay, back to class. She grinned triumphantly. Ah experimentation. Her favorite part. Eagerly she set to making the Turtle-Bomb. Ignoring all the pairing up going on around her. And especially ignoring one person in particular. Sleeze bag. Attractive sleeze bag, but sleeze bag all the--
BOOM
Dammit! Why'd everything always have to blow up in her face?

Well, this was awkward. He'd been sort of halfway listening, but really his mind had been on Hallie and their upcoming date. Romantic film, driving her around in the car, parking in a secluded spot -
And then, all of a sudden, they were supposed to talk to each other about ... something. Irritating. Why did Holland always insist on making them talk to each other? It made daydreaming far less viable. Forcing him to think and to say things ... jerk.
Everyone else was already paired up, and the only other student near him was, of course, Daveny. Gorgeous and fun to mess around with, but not of a lineage that matched up well with his own. Samuel was well aware that she was not his biggest fan.
Even so, he leaned over toward her desk. "Psst ... Dav ... looks like we're - "
BOOM
What on earth had just happened? It had been only a minute and she'd already blown something up. How was that even possible? Blinking his eyes furiously to clear the smoke from them, Samuel found himself laughing. He leaned back in his chair, looked over at Dav with a cocky grin on his face, and pointed out, "Well. That didn't work."

Pietro was impressed by the high caliber of many of the discussions he listened to, but he carefully stayed away from Serafina, who was talking to James Novak. After all, he was in a rather delicate and dangerous situation with her. He wasn't entirely certain of his ability to speak to her in front of a class just yet; things were new enough between them that he felt twitchy and overwhelmed and wanted only to run his fingers through her hair. After a few minutes, he came to a stop in the front corner of the room, leaning against the wall with his arms folded across his chest, just listening to the hum of the classroom and ... perhaps, possibly, watching her as she spoke with her discussion partner ... maybe thinking about her lips ...
And then River approached, and Pietro shook himself out of his daze to address his brother. "It seems as though many of their questions relate to Transfiguration theory. Perhaps you should answer for the whole class and provide some foundation for those considerations?"

River didn't even bother with the explosion. If someone was going to make an explosion, in a discussion activity, they deserve to get hurt. So his only response to that was, "Ms. Cocolette, if you're going to make an explosion in the class, you can write yourself a detention because this is a discussion, we never told you to make the said turtle bomb," River simply said in a calm and collected tone, laced with a bit of a dangerous growl as he didn't her a glance.
River made a face as he sighed and continued to approach his brother, "I don't want to. I hate talking to kids," he mock whined. Well, not actually mocked, he really did hate talking to kids. "I am glad that transfiguration has barely anything to do with this," River said in a relieved tone. He looked around, spotting his kids with Pietro's kids and Gawain's kids... "I shouldn't be a teacher yet here I am, being the one thing I shouldn't be," he told his brother before walking away from him to 'provide some foundation' for the Transfiguration theories that the kids came up with.
