PERSONALITY

Raised in a sophisticated, philosophical-based home, Hallie is naturally proper, intelligent, and civil. She strives to be the most mature, responsible person she can be, and at only 16, she believes herself to be doing a pretty good job. She is technical in everything she does, whether it's sitting up straight or writing the most detailed, lengthy notes for her classes. She speaks loudly and confidently, taking a bit of pride in her ability to almost always strike up a conversation with basically anyone she comes into contact with. Being charismatic, she isn't afraid to walk up to a stranger and greet them with a firm "hello". Hallie also enjoys taking time out of her schedule to help others as much as she can and feels satisfied when she's able to mediate or extinguish conflict between two people. Despite her proper, kinder side, she can be a bit sassy, especially when upset and/or irritated. She has been known to be able to hurl insults at people who deserve them, though she refuses to get into physical fights with anyone, as she sees them as immature and unproductive. She carries herself gracefully, and if there was one thing she absolutely loves about herself, it is her hair. She finds reading to be both amusing and intriguing, and often spends late nights attempting to sneak down to the nearest library to catch up on her favorite book. When it comes to guys, Hallie is definitely not a prude, and in fact, has been known to be flirtatious, but for the most part, she likes to sit back and wait for someone to come to her.

HISTORY

Hallie Emilia Keating was born on September 14th to Henry and Lillian Keating in Boston, Massachusetts. Being of pure blood, her parents began teaching her the magical ways at a very young age, though they also incorporated muggle items into her daily life as well. Her mother especially believed it to be important for Hallie to learn the most of both the worlds she would eventually become a part of. Her parents were often busy during her childhood, what with her father working at a small Auror's office and her mother as a part-time baker, so she was usually at home with her grandmother, who loved to instill all kinds of various lessons and notions into her granddaughter.



At the age of 10, after her father received a promotion in New York City, her family moved south and settled in a suburb on the outskirts of the city itself. Hallie continued to practice her magic, her intuition and precision growing every day. It wasn't until nearly a year later when she received a letter from the Cascade Academy inviting her to the school that her life changed exceptionally. Her first years at the school itself were a huge adjustment for her, but she eventually settled as a student of the Air House. Now, at the present time, Hallie manages her time between her home life and her school life, enjoying bits of both worlds...though, if she were brutally honest, she'd say she fits in better in the magical world.
