Hallie practically raced through the interior of the Aer Common Room at a fast, steady pace. It was already early in the morning, and she was ready to forget about everything that had happened over the course of the past couple of days. Of course, she had been able to forget about her troubles for a while, since her mind had been consumed with other matters...but still, Maureen, the attack on her, the long two hours spent at the infirmary, herself being surrounded by a family of O'Brien's...it was all just enough to almost make her come undone. The tiff with Samuel...or rather, Aedan had driven a wedge within her stomach and it was definitely something she didn't want to relish on or replay in her head. If he wanted to treat her the way that he did, fine...she really didn't think too much of it. She knew his mind had been elsewhere...not only with Maureen, but with his family, so she tried to be as understanding as possible. Still though, the pressure had been far too much, and as she rounded the corner of the room towards her dormitory, a couple tears spilled over the brims of her eyes and onto her cheeks.
The confines of her own room were comforting, and after unlocking it, she stepped in, noticed no one, then quickly shut the door behind her. Her eyes fluttered closed, and she inhaled deeply, determined to find some solace within her own little living space.

To say he was worried about... everything, was the understatement of the fucking century. He was worried about the fate of the school, his friends, V mostly... He had spent the whole night getting first years and second years back into their dorms who didn't understand what was going on at all, who wanted their parents and to go home. They just didn't want what happen to Maureen to happen to them. He made his way back out into the common room just in time to see Hallie bolt upstairs.
Oh fuck... did something happen to her too? She did run off with Samuel, who was now Adan and... Theo swallowed and headed up to the girls dorm knocking on the door and opening it. "Hallie..." He said walking into the room and looking at the girl. She seemed just as upset as everyone else in this place, no one has had an easy evening. He moved over to where she was and wrapped his arms around her as he hugged her tight. "Hey you okay? They didn't do anything to your right?"

The chaos below in the common room rang in her ears, Hallie did her best to ignore it as she sat on the end of her bed, her eyes burying themselves into the carpet below her. It was in her nature to be caring and nuturing...but what could she do to help anyone? She was just a 6th year student with good communication skills; nothing more than that and certainly nothing less. The past day had been nothing but a blur in her mind and in her thoughts, and yet, it bothered her tremendously to know she could not help her fellow students in a way that she wanted to.
She watched stoically as Theo pushed his way through her dorm door, and she quickly looked him over for any sign of laceration or bruise on his exposed skin. Upon not finding any, she let out a relieved sigh, and allowed herself to wrap her arms around him as he embraced her; her head nuzzzling on the top of his shoulder. If there was anyone she could ever count on being on her side, it was Theo. He had never given up on her, and for that, she was grateful.
"No," Hallie replied in a husky voice, pulling away to look at him. "No, I'm fine. I went with Sam-Aedan to help with Maureen in the hospital wing," she paused, then met her cousin's eyes again. "Are you alright? Is Vinyak alright?"

"Oh thank god." God he was so happy she was okay, he couldn't stand the thought of anyone else being hurt, especially someone so bloody close to Sam.. Aedan. He let her hug him for as long as needed before nodding some. "Yeah I'm fine, little shaken up but fine." She asked about V and Theo couldn't help but look down and blush some. "He's- he's good. Him and Mary got out with Annabel and that new kid. Found them down by the lake and now they are all in their dorms so..." Fuck why was it only when he was talking about Vinayak that his fucking voice cracked? Stupid stupid stupid...
He felt like he needed to say something else, but there were no words he could say right now. He just hugged her again and inhaled. "You... are you going to be okay?" Because he knew she had been seeing Sam... Aedan and if this was all because of some fight with his family and the Antonucchi, then what did this mean for her? Was she going to be okay? Was she going to get hurt? What if the Antonucchi decided to hurt her next? Oh god he couldn't live with himself if that happened...

She sighed with utter relief as her cousin mentioned the others, then nodded her head as he pulled her into another embrace. Closing her eyes, she thanked whatever gods that were in extant for the safety of not only her family, but her friends as well. Mary, Cordelia, and Annabel were all smart, and she was thankful for that. She was also thankful that Vinayak and his safety. She was the only one out of their family that had new of Theo's real feelings, and though it was different, she had tried to support him as best as she could...because he had always been there to support her.
Shaking her head, she laughed dryly, then pulled away again, flipping strands of red hair behind her back. "I don't really know, Theo," she admitted to him honestly. "Everything has been so crazy for me...I didn't realize the evil that is out there. We need to stick together," Hallie told him, smiling a bit before reaching forward to grab one of his hands and squeezed it lightly.

He gave a small smile and looked down at their hands clasped together. He hated the idea that she was sucked into a world where she could be next.. she could be hurt and tortured and then he would find her dead and... He swallowed and closed his eyes looking down for a second. He should have never let her even talk to Samuel, now he wasn't sure if he could keep her safe and Hallie.. Hallie was the only one in the family that didn't hate him, the only one he knew he could go to and if he lost her.."Well of course we will." He said with a soft smile brushing her cheek and sighing some. "God sakes your hair's a mess come here."
He tugged her over to the bed and forced her to sit on the edge with him behind her as he took out her braids and started to brush out her hair. Well they might as well do something normal because... what's the point of acting like it's not now? She was right about one thing... you sometimes forget how much evil is in the world, how much bad there really is hided away. "Well you know me. I like to try and focus only on the good. What's the point of thinking about the bad all the time?"

In response to her hair, Hallie blushed a bit, then sunk down into the floor beside her bed. Theo quickly filed in behind her, and once he was settled, he quickly began to take various clips and pins out of her hair, and slowly, vibrant red strands began to pool around her shoulders. There was silence for a few minutes, and in those moments, she allowed herself time to reflect on what the past day or do had done to her. She was exhausted and still looking worried about Maureen's wellbeing. If she, an innocent 5th year student could become a victim to the Antonucchi family, then who was to say they wouldn't go after others? The mess with Aedan had did a number on her as well, and she subconsciously fiddled with the ring on her right ring finger.
"Leave it to you to always look on the bright side of everything," a smile spread across her lips as she spoke to Theo. "It's definitely a good thing though...we need all the positivity we can get, with everything that's going on now."

He didn't feel the need to say anything as he took her hair out, each pin and each section of her hair folded over each other. The brush ran through her hair a few times before she commented on how he always he always had such a good outlook on things and he shrugged. "I have to Hallie..." He said, voice laced with a sort of sadness. He had to be happy, he had to be positive. Life... life was already hard enough as it was for him, so he had to focus on the good to make this life worth living. Otherwise there would be no reason to get out of bed in the morning.
"Well you know...a smile a day kept all evil away." He said sighing some and he section off her hair and brushed out each section before starting to braid them. "Okay so trying something new, bare with me." He said with a smile as he worked on a collapsing braid. Braiding each section and then braiding them into each other. "So... if Sam... Aedan, even touches you without your consent or hurts you, you are gonna tell me right?"

Theo was right. He did have to appear happy, upbeat, and cheerful most of the time, because how else was he going to keep fellow students' spirits' high? After the ordeal with the Headmaster, many of them were terrified that their next move would end them up in his office, and at that point in time, no one wanted to be stuck in his office, let alone be alone with him. That was why Theo was brave...at least, to her. He kept the smile on his face, even in his times of doubt. Hell, he probably had it worse than her...what with worrying not only about himself, but Vinayak too. To fear for someone so much that you couldn't function properly just had to be a powerful feeling.
As his fingers works through the roots and strands of her hair, a smirk tickled at the edges of her lips as Theo mentioned about trying someone different with it this go-around. Ever since she was little, she enjoyed being his "baby doll" of sorts; always allowing him to play with her hair or put various shades of lipstick on her lips. It had brought him happiness, and anything that brought him happiness was enough for Hallie to endure pretty much anything.
The shadow of a smirk fell from her lips as he mentioned Aedan, and she swallowed heavily before turning her head to the side to speak to him. "What makes you think he'd do something like tjst?" She asked him, feigning innocence.

"Well it's just..." He looked down some as his fingers ran though a section of her hair to separate it. "Just you know how alot of men view women and... call me weird or different but I could never hit anyone. And I have heard some of the guys in this place talk about their girls in just ways I don't want to think about, and if he is the son of some big scary mob boss..." Theo shook his head and sighed before adding. "I just worry Hal, you are sort of my only really family since everyone else hates me or thinks I should have never been born."
And he knew Hallie would probably chime in about how that's not true, and how they all really did love him but... he knew. He's always know that everyone thinks he's a strain on their otherwise perfect pureblood tree, and everyone wishes that wasn't the case.
"There section one down." He said smiling at the perfect braid going from the top of her head down, just had to repeat that a few time over now and..."Flowers! This look totally needs flowers." He said getting up and moving over to where a vase of white roses were and pulling off a few. "Sorry about making you wait so long, I was just sort of hit with a bolt of inspiration. God do you know what I would do for hair like yours?"

She chewed on her lip as her sweet cousin spoke his opinion of the men of their time. In a way, Theo was right. A lot of the men she had known of were possessive and aggressive...but that didn't mean all of them were that way, right? Her father was a prime example of the good men in her life. While he had never been that much of an affectionate man, she knew that he loved her and respected her mother, and never once had ever tried to order them around or, god forbid, hit either of them. Their family were, for the most part, general "old souls" who liked to do nothing except follow tradition...and that explained why Theo had never had a particularly good relationship with her uncle. Her uncle, a rough, brash man, treated Theo differently than he did other members of their family, including her, and Hallie knew why. It was because of Theo's guarded secret.
"I know you worry about me," she told Theo softly, "but I am a woman of honor, and a woman of honor does not allow herself to become like a pet."
She didn't entirely believe her own words, but she had hoped that he at least did, and a smile crossed her face as she watched him move over to her vase of various kinds of roses. With a laugh, her smile turned into a grin. " I bet you do," Hallie told him. "You have the most fabulous hair of the whole school. You're a master at styling it."

Theo picked out four white roses and smiled as he carried the back over to the bed and set them down, he took of the streams of the flowers, leaving just the perfect bloods and he waved his wand to the pin was secured to each of them and he placed the first one in her hair with a smile, right beside the first braid. "There that's better, everyone needs accessories." Theo then when back to braiding as he he nodded when she mention she was a woman of honor. "I know but if anything ever happen, you tell me right away. Promise?" He just wanted to be safe after all, they needed to stick together, look out for each other. It was the only way they were going to survive in this school.
Anyways with that out of the way he was back to braiding his little babydolls hair, fingers running over each section as she got him to laugh. "You know I would probably look better than you Hal." He said with a smile "And I am only so good because you always let me practice on you. Otherwise I would have no idea what to do... Fashion on the other hand I have to stay I think I did a good job learning that on my own. By the way speaking of fashion I was thinking of making you another dress for your birthday and I might as well start on it now before I get to busy with school."

As she turned to peer at her hair at her large, body-length mirror next to her bed, Hallie let out a surprised gasp and reached up to cup her hands over her mouth. Her hair was absolutely and completely beautiful; far better than it had been hours earlier. Her hands fell from her mouth as they lightly brushed against the braided, styled red tresses of her hair, and she turned herself slightly to get a look of the creation from the back. Theo was absolutely perfect at his craft, and it genuinely amazed her how he was able to perfect such a thing. Hallie quickly thanked him, then promised him that she would tell him anything...if anything were to ever happen to her.
She then rummaged through her dresser in search of something far less formal and more casual. With a laugh, she looked back at her cousin and smirked. "You'd beat all of us, my sweet Theo," Hallie told him, honesty in her voice. "I hope you realize you are far too good to me," she then said, going back to looking through her clothes.

"There all done!" He said with a smile as she looked in the mirror and he was more than pleased. She look stunning, well okay she always looked stunning. But she looked lovely, like a perfect little doll as he moved in front of her here and pulled up a chair. "Oh stop I am not done yet. Wait till I get some makeup on then you can tell me how good my work is." He said smiling getting out Hallie's make up and tilling up her chin. What a perfect way to relax and forget the stress of the evening, painting up his little cousin like the perfect little doll she was. Theo just hope she saw that in herself, how wonderful and sweet she was... Too good for any guy that would just use her and abuse her. And he hoped she found a good guy in Sam... Aedan.
"No I'm not Hal, you're like... one of the only people I can turn to. So it's no big deal really. Now come back here." He said looking at her as she walked over to her cupboard to pick out something less fancy to put on and he bite his lip some. "Oh I can leave if you want to change."

Hallie didn't understand...how could Theo possibly make her look even better than she already did? With one more glance at her hair, she moved back towards the edge of the bed and sighed tiredly as her eyes fluttered shut. She realized then just how fatigued she had been. It had been the longest day, and the night before had seemed endless...so her tiredness was expected. Still though, Hallie wished it would disappear, so that she could have enjoyed the company of her cousin a bit more. As he continued to press on a bit of powder and blush to her face, she let her in wander a bit; her thoughts drifting to nothing inparticular.
It saddened her that what he said was indeed, true. Their family were old-fashioned and very traditional, and that would never change. They would never change their way of thinking, even for Theo himself. It broke her heart, in a way...that sweet, kind Theo could never be himself around the people that were supposed to love him. She scolded them silently, then opened her eyes to way him move back over too her wardrobe. With a light smile, Hallie stood to her feet and shedded the outer-most layers of clothing.
"I don't mind," she told him casually. "It's not a big deal."
